Book Clutches
Recently, I wrote about the new phenomenon on book clutches. Olympia Le-Tan, a French designer, debuted a collection of handmade clutches that look like famous book covers.
Her designs were seen on the red carpet in the arms of Natalie Portman and Harry Potter actress Clemence Poesy.

Kate Spade also launched a “Book of the Month” clutch, releasing a new ‘volume’ one at a time. The titles included The Great Gatsby, The Importance of Being Earnest, Emma and the latest Romeo and Juliet.

These clutches also launched a legal proceeding from Le-Tan, when friends tipped her off about the similar designs from Kate Spade. Le-Tan’s clutches debuted on her site in 2009, while Kate Spade’s clutches only appeared in August 2010. Suspicious.
Still, Le-Tan was not the first person to think up the novel idea either. There had already been a number of websites offering book clutches, and ways of how to DIY your own.
And even now, everyone else seems to be copying the same thing, with their own twist.
Chanel’s leather bound volume, sent down the runway of Spring Summer 2011. Diane Kruger of Troy dame (a.k.a. the face that launched a thousand ships) walked down the red carpet of the 61st Berlin International Film Festival with the clutch.

Dr. Seuss kid’s clutch, no idea who’s the designer.

Nice bedrooms.
Singaporeans should start wearing hats. Whenever I see hats, I only think of Coco Before Chanel (the movie) and Nick’s ang moh mum.
I like the purple chair.
Chanel! Oh my!
So fashionista, what are you wearing?
