Liese Treatment and Style

Posted in Fashion and Beauty by fariwu on November 5, 2010

I know why female ghosts look so creepy and upset.

Ghosts are always shown as not being able to touch or hold any earthly objects. Which means, they can’t hold a hairbrush, they can’t hold a foundation compact, they can’t hold anything.

Wouldn’t you be upset if you can’t touch anything and have to wander around like you just got out of bed?

A bad hair day… over… and over… and over again…

Thank god we mortals can solve that problem.

Thanks to TheSampleStore and Liese, I got to try out two of their products. By the way, for a long time I’ve been calling it Lee-ehs, but it’s really pronounced Lee-zay.

I didn’t know that, but now that I do, I can’t stop saying it.

LIZZEH LIZZEH LIZZEH!

Ok moving on.

A cube wax in 04 (They have 6 variations based on the type of hairstyle you want to create)

And a bottle of Juicy Shower (I didn’t know they come with refills! I’ve never seen those before).

And so I tried them out.

The before picture. Not too bad leh, but could do better.

Spray some Juicy shower on the hair to add some moisture and reduce frizziness. Can be used on wet, damp, or dry hair. Personally, I like to use it after a shower, then towel-dry. It can also be used as a pre-styling product, which is FUN-KY!

End result: smoother looking hair! I like the raspberry smell best, which unfortunately doesn’t last long, but it’s great for a pick-me-up. The best part is it doesn’t leave any greasy feeling on your hands, which I hate. If you feel the same way, get this but otherwise, invest in a hair lotion instead.

Time to curl hair. I bought this from JB, and it can either curl or straighten, depending on what you want. And it’s pink! (I wanted to bling it, but the heat will probably make the crystals fall off).

Okay, the curly hair is kinda messy, so it’s time to wax on, (s)wax off(/s).

And… end result. Shiny!

Mega lieks. Usually, my hair will straighten very quickly by the end of the day, but this wax can give it some hold and keep it in shape. Also doesn’t hurt that it smells nice too.

The full product line-up consisting of hair dyes, treatment and styling products. They’re found at Watsons, Guardian, and other mama shops (LOL).

There is a contest going on, so if you have a minute, vote for me here. 10 random voters will win a Liese product, so if you’re interested? The link is up there.

Okay time for me to go out. OKBAI!

Bubble Up with Liese

Posted in Random by fariwu on September 2, 2010

Geddit, geddit!

Okay anyway, a few months ago I wanted to try out this new hair dye that recently came out in the market.

Liese hair dye in Cassis Berry (pink-red tinge).

It turned out more red than brown.

Looks reddish with flash, but it was very brown in real life, and I was quite discontented, considering I wanted red hair in the first place.

Maybe I should have gone to a salon but I’m so distrustful of hair stylists ever since one incident. This guy promised he could dye my hair blue without the bleaching, so I went ahead.

It turned out BLACK. Like as if I did nothing to it!

Worse still, when I put in red highlights after that, the hair wouldn’t take to the red because the hair was too dark.

Basket.

Anyway, a few months later, along came Cozycot looking for people who wanted a change in their hair colour. Liese was introducing two new hair colours along with their already-existing 10 hair colours.

New Sweet ApricotNew Platinum Beige

The two colours: Sweet Apricot from the orange-brown series, and Platinum Beige, cousin of Ash Brown.

Purple extensions! Nothing can compare to purple and pink hair! Except maybe Obi-Wan’s wrath.

The instructions were pretty clear, and since I already used it, I thought there’d be no problem.

Then I forgot.

When you massage it in, bubbles will form but they won’t stay until you’re about halfway through. I forgot about that and was going “Oh shit! Oh shit!” at first. The bubbles formed later, and by then my hair was too difficult to separate and cover it evenly.

Nooooooooo!

The things I learnt:

1. Don’t panic.

2. Massage it throughout evenly, especially the inner layers of the hair cause this second time round, parts of the inner layers were still black.

3. Don’t neglect the roots either.

4. Apply hair lotion while hair is still wet. Then after blow-dry, hair will be CHIO!

Sian, the colour not even. The first time I did it it was very even, so I got complacent.

After second hair wash, the colour still looks good.

So bright!

SO CHIO!

Anyway, very happy with my hair colour now.
