Random Photos
I don’t know how else to title this post. Random photo bombardment!
Every night, I light candles. And now, thanks to Daiso, I can indulge in aromatherapy too.
Me and The Liang.
“No Comments and Don’t Quote Me”. Seems like a funny way to title a book by using a quote.
JOLYYYYYYYYYN! Thanks to you, now I have these many rhinestones! What am I gonna do with all of them!
Start thinking of more things to bling.
(I blinged my earphones already, but I never got round to taking photos of them.)
Fancy Pocket and Beadtle Sweet stuff. My favourite is the brown biscuit. And the coke and fries! WAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
My collection. Shall probably stop buying for now, this is madness.
Most expensive toothpick I ever bought. I will always refer to it as a toothpick cause it really looks like one!
Yellow fluffy pen. I think I lost it. Must’ve dropped it somewhere. Oh well, I have a large supply of them anyway. I miss the times when we used my blue pen to become the official signing pen in Journ class.
My Church friends! I also don’t even go to church. But the name keeps sticking cause I’ve saved all their names as ____ Church. Mah Rainbow friends!
And Nat Nat, go cycling with me soon!
Post Script: I’m so touched! Professor X sent me this -
Prof X: Hey, think you’re still up. Well I read your comments the last few days, something is not right.. hope everything’s fine for ya.. rest well, gdnight and have a peace filled day ahead!
AWW, I’M SO TOUCHED
I has such awesome friends

Nurse Joker – in memory of Heath Ledger
Carolyn’s party was SO difficult to think of a costume. Since there was a chance to dress up, I really wanted to go over-the-top.
Cleopatra? Ariel of the Little Mermaid? Princess Jasmine from Aladdin? Britney Spears in an incredibly retro costume? I couldn’t decide.
Finally, fate saw to it that I wouldn’t prance around in a princessy costume, but in this.
VISITING HOURS ARE OVER! In memory of Heath Ledger, the Joker/cross-dressing nurse. Okay, so all I needed was a costume. Props unnecessary, and only makes it troublesome to walk around with. It’s the makeup that’s most important.
My nurse uniform, rented from Costumes and Mascots, somewhere at North Bridge Road. Near Aliwal Street. Quality is pretty good, I think the owners thought I was just dressing up as a normal nurse. Little did they know…
From the back, it looks like a sexy nurse.

And then I turn around and you see the face.
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Eh the makeup was really hard to do, ok!
I put on loads of layers, especially white powder because I was so afraid that it will just oxidize or melt or be wiped away from my face. But this was taken at the end of the night, and most of it was still intact. Success!
What I did:
Applied layers and layers of white. Patted on white eyeshadow, then white highlighting powder, then eyeshadow, the highlighting powder, repeat, repeat, repeat. By then, I looked more like a geisha, my white eyeshadow was about 3/4 gone, my highlighting powder gave off a more shiny look than the matte look I was attempting to achieve, and I was getting disheartened.
And then the black eyeshadow came in.
The moment I applied on some black eyeshadow, it was SO clear I was portraying the Joker. Awesome! Plus, it was extremely easy to do and I didn’t have to worry about doing brows or putting on mascara.
Lipstick was applied to my lips, then extended out. The lipstick was so good, I almost couldn’t wipe it off at the end of the night. So if you’re looking for a darn good lipstick, go check out Loreal’s Infallible selection. The lipstick on the sides of my face refused to come off.
See the lingering red on the sides of my face? This was after the party, and I took ages in the bathroom trying to remove my white face.
Look for the girl with the joker smile… Ask her if she wants to stay awhile…
Makeup was really good though, no touch-ups needed at all. But I would have changed the lips if I could. The Joker’s painted smile is slightly higher on the right side than the left side, if you notice in pictures. And also my makeup looked too “pretty”. Too “shiny”. I would have added some grey wrinkles here and there if I had the time. Keywords were ‘had the time’.
Bang, and you got shot. Though from this angle, I look like I’m giving a thumbs-up. Did you think it was a gun or a thumbs-up?
Joker and Lady Gaga. On the red carpet. One character came out of a comic book, the other looks like she should belong in one.
Poker face, and Joker face. LOL.
Group photo! Everybody looking at different directions, except for Fergie-Nura.
Kelvin the random celeb, LY the Jolin Tsai, Me the Heath Ledger, Angela the groupie, Leo the random boyband member. And random girl in blue whom I totally don’t know.
All in all, a success! Though not everyone got the Joker-posing-as-a-nurse joke. Some people thought I was a zombie nurse, some thought there was a female joker somewhere in the comics.
Next time, I shall go as something with wings. I love wings.
I MEAN LIKE ANGEL/DEVIL WINGS, NOT SANITARY PAD WINGS BTW.
Bedtime Rituals
I have a bedtime ritual that I (almost) strictly adhere to.
Oh, who am I kidding. Like as if I follow rules and stuff.
But there’s a couple of things that I do like to do to ensure a nice good sleep.
1) Removal of makeup. Always. And that needs:
a) Makeup remover.
I used to never bother with makeup remover. “Cleanser already enough what. That’s why it’s called CLEANser.”
Now I realize that even though my foundation and mascara usually looks like they’ve disappeared by the end of the day, in reality there’s still traces left behind. And that’s what makeup remover is for.
If you want eye makeup remover, invest in a good one. Clarins is ridiculously expensive in Singapore compared to other brands, but worth it. No pain, and no rubbing at all.
b) Toner.
After cleanser, the next step (that I always skip) is toner. But it’s exceedingly gratifying to see the dirt on the toner. It just cleans out whatever the makeup remover and cleanser fails to remove. Best is when I forget to use a makeup remover. The toner-filled cotton bud will be PHOAR! Damn dirty. Sometimes got sparkles also. A common complaint I always hear from people is that toner is drying for the skin, and I used to testify to that too. In reality, the skin’s too dry cause there’s not enough moisturizer applied to it. So dry skin + toner = even drier skin disaster. And that leads us to:
2) Moisturizer. Nuff said.
3) Body lotion.
Also used to skip body lotion, even though I sleep in an air-conned room. That’s because I’m lazy. And that I don’t like how greasy most lotions are. Then I discovered The Ark.
HAHA no I didn’t discover The Ark. But I discovered a fantastic lotion that smells great, isn’t greasy (previous lotions I tried had great reviews but still sucked) and is so freaking cheap.
Johnson’s baby bedtime lotion!
I didn’t buy it last time cause I thought cheap sure no good one lah. But it works! I like!
Donna Karan’s Cashmere Mist also not bad. At first I didn’t like the smell, but after awhile it grew on me. I use it sparingly though. Not cheap at all. Not like Johnson’s, that one can use like no tomorrow.
4) Perfume.
Huh what the hell? Who wear perfume to sleep one? Who wears short shorts? I WEAR SHORT SHORTS!

Sorreh. But it’s so funny. Who wears perfume at night? I wear! The Body Shop’s Love… Etc is my favourite before I go to sleep. Dunno why, just wear for fun. Smell nice what? Just to drift off peacefully… to dreamland I mean, not to heaven.
5) Eye mask.
Also not used frequently, but just if and when I need that perk-me-up. Once, in the morning, I had too little sleep and couldn’t open my eyes. So I put this over my head for about half an hour and my eyes were perfectly fine after that. Nice!
6) A good book.
Like I always say, ‘the bimbo bimbo kind of book’! It’s always nice to destress and get away from it all. But must be a good book. I hate reading about those girls who are so emotionally-ruled at every turn, and can’t even think logically.
But if there’s no book available, there’s always magazines.
Especially the ones with your face in it yet again.
Again, I don’t remember writing that. *shrugs*
Think that’s about it. So what’s your bedtime ritual?
