18 Faces of Linkin Park

Inspired by “30 Days of Disney”, I want to do 18 faces of Linkin Park, because they are my most favourite band ever! Why 18? Because there are 6 members in LP, and it wouldn’t do justice to have 10 or 20, so I did 18. I hope LP fans will reblog this so I can see their choices and opinions and who they love.

1. Favourite band member

That would be Mike Shinoda.Who else could it be? He raps, he sings, he produces, he designs the album covers, he mixes the songs, then proceeds to remix them… it has to be Mike. He’s the best!

2. Who you want to be (while this may seem similar to #1, the first one is who you like, this is who you would consider to be)

Either Mike (for above reasons and because duh, Mike is the best!), or maybe Chester. I still can’t believe his screaming vocals, and how he does them, and how he still has a voice after all these years. They even sound awesome live.

3. Favourite band/singer (other than LP)

Tough call, because I like some other singers and bands, but don’t love them. I’d say Stan Walker, the Australian Idol. Actually he’s only released 2 official songs so far, but I’ve been listening to both songs to death.

4. Favourite song

No Roads Left! (B-side on Minutes to Midnight)

5. 2^nd favourite song

New Divide (official song in Transformers 2)

6. Least favourite song

Probably Runaway or something? The ones I don’t listen to much.

7. Favourite album

Tough call. Probably Minutes to Midnight, because that’s the one album where I listened to and found them awesome.

8. Least favourite album

Ehh… Meteora? Don’t listen to it. But I liked Breaking the Habit last time, that used to be my favourite song cause I’d scream to it all the time.

9. Who should collaborate with them

Me!

Seriously, I love Eminem so maybe him, though I don’t know if their styles would clash.

Want free plastic surgery?

Plastic surgery has been controversial the moment it was invented, with some citing that it changes societal perception of beauty, and it puts pressure on women to conform to such societal expectations. Others claim that it has become an extreme movement, and puts a fake front to natural beauty.

How far is too far? To plump up the lips? To create double eyelids? To change the nose? To change the face such that it becomes unrecognizable?

How about to look like a celebrity?

Hai, I’m not pretty enough. I want to look like Jessica Alba, kthx.

Her name is Xiaoqing, and she’s from China. She had a boyfriend who was so obsessed with Jessica Alba, he constantly talks about her, has her posters on his walls, keeps her pictures in his phone, to the point that he tries to make his own girlfriend look like Alba. Blonde wig, fake eyelashes, the works.

‘He was always telling me to do my make-up like Jessica does, even when I’m asleep,’ she said.

However, when she was out one day, she noticed people laughing at her eye-catching makeup and wig, and she was so upset she threw down her wig and eyelashes. They both had a mutual break up due to the fact of seeing she no longer looked like Alba. Now, she’s regretted her decision and she’s decided she wants him back.

‘I love him very much,’ she said of her former lover. ‘That’s why I always followed his opinions. I don’t want to lose him.’

How to get him back? She’s decided on a drastic solution: undergoing plastic surgery to permanently look like his idol, Jessica Alba.

Well, how can mere mortals attempt to look like that?

Of course, plastic surgery like this must cost a fortune. Even though money is of no ‘apparent object’, she still had to appeal to the public to raise funds for this surgery. Doctors saw the opportunity to ‘showcase their skills and capabilities’ and stepped up to offer her free plastic surgery, in exchange for worldwide publicity, of course. However, they declined to allow her to go ahead with the surgery, making sure first that she is psychologically ready to go through this irreversible task. Xiaoqing says, “I’m not only doing it for my ex-boyfriend, but for myself. I am a psychologically weak person. I want to do something to challenge myself and build a strong personality through it.”

Aaand, attempting to turn yourself into another person will repair your self-esteem.

But you know, she really is smart. She’s accomplished so much within an extremely short period of time.

1. Within a couple of days, the news broke and travelled all around the world. She became a minor celebrity while doing hardly anything. Google her name and all the news will be out.

2. Despite money ‘not being an issue’, she still had to have help from doctors who waived the charges. You know, it’s a great way to have free plastic surgery. In exchange for worldwide publicity? Sure, no problem.

3. And, you know, if her crazy boyfriend doesn’t take her back, she can always move to Hollywood and make it big as a Jessica Alba doppleganger. People pay loads for these kinds of lookalikes. The Asian version of Alba!

4. And lastly (and best of all), the news of her proposed surgery has reached the ears of Jessica Alba herself. News travels fast and far. And Alba, naturally, is disturbed by the goings-on behind this story. She’s been reportedly distressed by the news and had sent words of advice to Xiaoqing.

Hmm, maybe Xiaoqing herself’s a big fan of Jessica Alba. Wouldn’t it be amazing to have your very own idol attempting to contact you? I would be soo pleased. Pleased is an understatement. State of amazement and ecstasy maybe. Like, I would be so excited if that happened. Jessica Alba tried to contact Xiaoqing because of this piece of news.

I oughta try that.

Nah. Means I gotta shave everyday.
