Tie-land

I had no idea Korean accessories are so nice.

Nice right! I like the quality of it, I really feel like it’s quite worth it.

Anyway, I have a friend in Thailand, and I wanted to send her a gift.

Picked this out. I thought the C was meant to represent Chanel, but I think it might represent Coach too. But Coach’s font isn’t like that. I think it really is meant to be Chanel. I like how the colours look really good!

There it goes, in a box. And it won’t move too much, so by the time it reaches her and she opens the box, it’ll still be exactly like this.

Around the house (and Dhoby Ghaut)

Posted in Random by fariwu on January 19, 2010

Warning: Extremely long post filled with pictures ahead.

My hair post-shoot after returning from doing the Avalon photoshoot. I love messing around with the DSLR, though I can’t seem to “become one” with it. Too many complications with how the photos turn out that I’ve yet to overcome.

A random dinner night:

My favourite: Peel Fresh! I hate how they’ve recalled grape and aloe vera juice. Suddenly no one seems to stock it anymore.

Taking picture and pouring is hard okay!

Made spaghetti. NOM NOM NOM!

Close up.

NOICE!

Cherries. ALSO NOICE! I love this pic. I have it as my laptop wallpaper.

Red-eyed cat. I’ve decided to call him Jim Carrey because there’s a higher chance he’ll respond. He NEVER responds to Bouncy. At all. But sometimes he’ll look up or meow when I call him Jim Carrey.

Staircase. LOMANTIC!

Tee vee. I’m constantly watching Iron Man and Transformers on it.

Guitar. Rock Band 2!

Fake flowers. No interesting story, just looks pretty.

Chandelier. I remember once my toy duck got stuck up there cause I was throwing to hit the ceiling. Bad move.

My Little Pony!

Went to Arab Street and bought rhinestones to bling stuff.

At this rate, my reputation as a punk ass will never return. NEVER. I miss the good ol’ days when we’d go around pointing guns and scaring people and shit just cause we can.

Saw these at Dhoby Ghaut. Stick-on jewels.

NOICE.

Not only that, I saw these “pills” that you can take. Okay so they’re just jellybeans, but where’s the fun in spoiling that? There’s some to make you happy, feel sexy, feel metrosexual, be forever young… well you get the point.

And I saw these that made me laugh like hell.

Will you take the Red Pill, or the Blue Pill? *puts on some Morpheus sunglasses*

Okbai.

Principessa Beauty

The first semester is finally over!

There comes a time when you love to sit down and talk about meaningful things about life, love and living. About what makes us angry and happy, and why.

And then there comes a time where you just want to forget the woes of the world and return to the things that make you happy.

I have succumbed to that. It’s been so tiring to have had deadlines, projects, work, work, projects, deadlines, deadlines, exams and exams. Not only that, the ORD-ed guys have warned me that the end of every semester will probably be quite similar to what I’ve encountered, though I heard what I picked this semester are some of the heaviest subjects.

If it was for one particular subject, one particular job, or even one particular course, maybe it could have been more manageable. But it was really tiring switching from this to that, knowing full well that something else needs my attention later on. I really need a spa experience now.

Principessa Philosophy -

Principessa Beauty offers a spa experience with self-pampering at its finest with an array of impossibly feminine bath & body products. A true reflection of the most beautiful things in life, this collection of signature fragrances, lip balms, hand creams, body lotion, body scrubs, spa soaps, candles, hair care and more were created with luxury, indulgence and femininity in mind… Why not indulge!

How much more persuasion do you need to indulge in bliss?

I’d been thinking of getting this for a very long time. The black metallic casing isn’t available in Singapore though, more for ang moh countries like the US of A. For Singapore, this brand is available only in Sephora, and the contents are housed in a cardboard box that looks like a briefcase complete with clasp. Finally, I decided, If it doesn’t exist in some form now, it will never exist. So I got it!

The girl suddenly asked if I wanted it wrapped.

Sabretooth: Shiny!

The blue wrapping paper they have is way nicer than the orange.

What’s inside (I just added the other two things inside). It’s called a Bellina box. It looks like this really cool briefcase.

These are the contents (plus the two extras). Fresh Fiore shower cream, Dolce [means Sweet] Dreams body lotion, Cattiva Diva hand lotion and a shower pouf. The two extras are (from left): hair and body powder and mini Terme Tresses shampoo.

The real contents of the Bellina box. You will not believe how expensive it is. Better still, if you calculate the individual prices, it’s even more expensive individually. They had to offer free mini items for purchases about $100 just to entice people (the one I chose was the shampoo). Am wondering if I made the right decision because I can’t smell it after awhile of using, though others say that they still do. Maybe it’s more of a ‘my nose has gotten used to the smell’ thing? Maybe I should have gotten the perfume instead.

Happy family. Perfume to come??

Am a happy girl now. Hopefully a blissful one in time to come. My neck has been sore, and my body aching for a while.

Principessa Beauty, I need your spa magic!

Online Shopping – The greatest distractor since 2007

Posted in Fashion and Beauty by fariwu on October 24, 2009

Online Shopping. The greatest invention since actual shopping, and it has become the greatest distractor ever since it came out.

It has come to a point where online shopping has taken over brick-and-mortar shopping to a certain extent, where everyone knows BO stands for Back Order (and not body odour), and BC, AE, HH, etc are just common terms for online shopping lingo.

And now I have joined their clan.

(Credits to the various livejournals I’ve pulled the pictures out from. I don’t feel the need to link them since they’re pretty much watermarked anyway. And easy-to-click links only lead everyone to more online shopping, which isn’t very good in the long run)

Photobucket

Ah, Bodycon dresses. They’ve taken the world by storm. I like this, but I don’t like how it’s made of cheap cotton. Kind of brings the whole look down a little bit. Also, I’m wondering how long bodycon dresses are gonna stay, seeing that the runway’s full of shoulder padded dresses now. Then again, I personally think those shoulder pads are so ugly. Shoulder pads should not be staying for long either.

pencil dress

Meltcouture designed the ‘perfect’ pencil dress that hugs the curves of the body. Beautiful design, though I find the material might not be convenient for Singapore weather. Doesn’t look like it absorbs sweat easily, unlike cotton. Still, it looks very nice, like an LBD look. Can totally channel a Chanel look with that. Get it? Channel Chanel? Too bad it’s totally sold out.

militaryfrock

I’d been looking for this for some time! Not many people sell this leh. Considering if I should buy this. Looks very very nice, I really like it. I’m almost certain of getting this already.

Jessica-Alba-inspired chain link dress. Don’t know if I should buy this one or the above one! But I’m leaning towards the one above, cause I don’t think this is that worth it.

room18

This is another dress I’m almost certain of buying already. A collared shirt dress, simple, casual, sporty, and funky. I like the bag too, too bad it looks too small to fit A4 size.

Zipper dress, which I can get for about $19. Finally, something that isn’t in black. I keep finding really nice dresses in black, which only serves to add less colour to my wardrobe. Not that a white dress would make my wardrobe any less monochromatic, but it sure perks it up a little more.

I want those oversized flutter-sleeve tops, but most of them totally drown me. That’s what I really really don’t like about them. And how I’m very unsure about buying these.

This one looks really glam! But soo large. I’m very afraid it’ll just completely drown me. Dunno leh. I also don’t find the price very justified, though this is quite unique.

I want a black studded bag like this! Actually more like the kind from Charles and Keith that people are toting around everywhere. The best part is they don’t seem to sell that at Charles and Keith. WIN. Dunno if I should get from this BO leh.

coco 2

Aren’t they kind of cute? I thought it was totally stupid, until I realized it’s not an actual shopping bag made of cheap paper, but an actual bag complete with zippers/buttons and all. coco 1

Now I feel like getting one! I like how the detailing inside is made of satin/faux satin. This is from earlgreyparty. The black one looks so glam but it looks like a real paper bag leh.

These are all that I want to buy! Shit. My bank account’s going to suffer if I don’t have the willpower. Please advise me what’s worth buying and what’s not!
